Averting Genocide in the Nuba Mountains, Sudan
For some time now, my heart has been in Africa. I have for whatever reasons, such a longing to go there. And I have such a love for so many people I have learned about from that wonderfully awesome continent.

Well one of the people there is The Nuba people from the Sudan.
And I have had close contact with a man who is writing a book about them, their history, their way of life. And he shares personal accounts of people he lived with there as he learned from them and loved them.

The proceeds from the book, Proud to be Nuba, will help them re-establish themselves after the toll of conflict.

I am excited too, because he had me help him "edit" some of the work he has done and he will be sending me the book as soon as it is published. I surely do want to also work to get it published in the States.

All the same, I wanted to share an article too about The Nuba and since Sudan/Darfur continue to be in the news, this is just one more article of interest.
