The situation in Sudan is awful, to say the least.

But, of course, the US can't intervene with any real forcefulness because, doing so, the US would then be considered as "occupiers" who have "violated the sovereignty" of Sudan.

And we all know how well UN sanctions work in bringing about change in a country's government...i.e. - Iraq, prior to March 2003.

Being the world's sole superpower kinda sucks; The US is condemned when it tries its best to bring positive change to this world...and the US is condemned when it doesn't.
