And what really came against them, if you don't mind me pointing it out...religion.
Yup. Again. And sure, folks here might say, Islam. But mind you, a government aligned to any religion will produce the same greedy power struggle and a momentum of hatred and a will to annihilate whole people groups that do not comply.
