OJ didn't get off because of being thought innocent, but because lack of evidence. He got off because the police messed up, or specifically because one cop didn't want to tell the truth about his past racist comments.
It's much like the Micheal Jackson thing...The jurors felt he was guilty. But because of poor witnesses on the prosecution's side, they couldn't convict because the witness testimony was suspect.
In either case, if the prosecution had had stronger witnesses, there would have been convictions of both OJ and Jackson. It's not just the evidence that convicts a person, but how the testimony by those witnesses about the evidence that helps in convicting... |
