"Bertuzzi was suspended indefinitely for the hit that left Moore with a broken neck, a concussion and no guarantee that he'd still be a professional hockey player. With the Avalanche ahead 8-2 in the game, Bertuzzi grabbed Moore from behind, punched him on the side of his head and then landed on top of Moore, driving his head into the ice. The bloodied Colorado player was removed on a stretcher."
"The attack was seen as retaliation for a hit Moore put on Vancouver star Markus Naslund (in a previous game) that left the Canucks captain with a concussion and sidelined him for three games."
I don't know if any of you saw it but it was the most gruesome attack I have ever seen in sports. Bertuzzi is about 6'4" 220 and he just jumped Moore, knocked him unconcious with a punch to the temple, jumped on his back and drove Moore's head into the ice. It was litterally sickening to see. This reinstatement is a huge mistake. I don't care if Bertuzzi gave a press conference in tears apologizing for what he did. It is not even certain that Moore will be able to play hockey again mostly because Bertuzzi broke his neck. He does not deserve to be reinstated. But it don't take much to get me by
So just booze me up and get me high
