It's 100% socioeconomic. Blacks in SA were kept down for over a hundred years because of apartheid and trapped by whites in squalor and poverty. Now you expect all wounds to be healed within the span of a few years, even when a great number of families still live without opportunity? You're naiive.

And I, for one, disagree with affirmative action anyway. It qualifies as reverse discrimination in my book and seems like political correctness gone too far.
