That's what I had to do. I took my meds before turning my bags in, just keeping out the nitro pills that I have to carry on me at all times as well as one dose of my other meds that I had to take halfway through the flight plan. But to carry those with me, I had a letter from my doctor as well as I had to carry my medical records with me so security could check it out. Plus the crew on the plane were told of it by security so there wouldn't be any trouble on the plane when/if I had to access my meds.

Basically, the doctor had to give me a letter giving me medical permission to fly in the first place. Oh joy.
