I am a registered Democrat (but they are pissing me off with their lack of, um, testicular fortitude). I call myself a moderate because I hold views that can be attributed to both right and left: For instance, I support capital punishment AND a woman's right to choose. I support gun rights, but with some common sense restrictions/protections in place. I supported the attack on afghanistan to the point of attempting to re-enlist. I did not support the decision to abandon afghanistan in favor of iraq.
To answer your question: The only aspect of geroge w. bush that I support is his impeachment, removal from office and indictment and subsequent jail time.
He is an aberration. His entire time in office has been a horrible mistake and so far over 3500 of our troops have paid with their lives. | Thank you for sharing Dr. You and I have some very similar views. The disappointment in the Democrats recently... The wish to see Bush impeached, and if not, then tried for war crimes after he does leave office. I am not in favor of capital punishment though. And though I understood the military efforts in Afghanistan, and respect others who find military force essential to freedom, I sponsor from my own heart, a complete pacifism. As to a woman's right to choose. I say Yes. Though my own conviction would not ever allow me to choose abortion, I would not put my personal convictions on others. So perhaps we will amen each other from time to time, and differ at times too. That's sweet of you to relocate to be near your daughter and her family. Wishing you all a heck of alot of joy! OD |
