I think it's just a matter of what medium people feel most comforatable with.

For whatever reason, people who would tend to be more conservative also tend to be the type who will listen to radio. Whereas, liberals might be more the type to enjoy "underground" films. Therefore, Michael Moore does well in film and Rush Limbaugh does well in radio. Of course, that's just my opinon.

It's sort of like the thought I've always had that the reason you don't see very many "conservative" college professors is the same reason you don't see very many liberal mechanics.

The thought process that makes a person a good mechanic will probably steer him more toward conservative politics. Whereas the thought process that would make a guy a good liberal arts professor is likely to steer him toward liberal politics.

I don't see one as being superior to the other. The world needs all sorts of people, and I enjoy the company of salt-of-the-earth blue collar types as much as I like rubbing elbows with esoteric, artsy-fartsy people.

There are things about the basic conservative credo I love, and things about it I think are silly. Same with the basic liberal line of thought.
