Conservative radio is all about praising those who agree and villyfying those who disagree. That creates enormous pull for those who prefer not to think, but rather subscribe to imposed views.
Liberal radio on the other hand is less condemning, less likely to over-praise or endorse, and more likely to require the listener to derive their own points of view. That also means that it is less likely to have that same emotional loyalty from its listeners. Liberal radio show hosts are more likely to act as moderators rather than opinion leaders like Rush Limbaugh.
I have no facts to base this on other than the fact that i am a "liberal" in the ideological sense and i have a daily rush hour radio show.
I respect other people's opinions too much to ever try villifying them. And i think that respect for other people's opinion i a liberal trait.
ANd btw i do not mean to take sides in American politics. Reps and Dems are two sides of the same american coin. "Liberal" is an ideology. Not a gang. Love for all, Hatred for none |
