If you heat something like steel,it will bend easier than if it was not heated.That along with the pressure from all the weight above it will make it bend alot easier and quicker.

ok, Aircraft are made from thin sheets of aluminum, buildings are made from steel. When aluminum metals then ignites it reaches temperatures far greater than that needed to melt steel. So when the aircraft (of aluminum) crashes into a building and blows up, the aluminum would melt and quite possibly ignite, therefore causing a great deal of heat, melting and/or severly weakening steel. I really don't know how to put it in simpler terms.
