 I agree this is in another sense how the "war on drugs" doesn't make sense. Some of the profit from illegal drugs probably does go to terrorist. Much of the rest goes to all kinds of other unsavory sorts -- from organized criminal gangs to freelance scumbags.
Legalizing and taxing these drugs would cut off their money supply. I'm sure they are quite thankful for strict drug prohibition. If at first you don’t succeed – try, try again and then quit. There’s no sense in making a damned fool of yourself. – W.C. Fields
