The B-52 is a work horse. A grand piece of design, and a flying bomb platform. I remember the ground shaking as they flew over at 60,000 feet during Operation Desert Shield/Storm.

Within thirty minutes the ground was shaking again and the sky in the distance aglow from them emptying their payload. And then of course it was time for the return flyover. We never got much sleep at night thanks to them, but I am sure glad they were deliver to the other guy instead of me.
