What we are witnessing right now, at minimum, is the start of a new "Cold War" that not only sets Israel, the US, and other Western countries against Iran, but also Sunni Muslim controlled states against Iran...and perhaps Shiism in general.

Will rational minds prevail on both sides of this new Cold War, as they did during the previous Cold War, is yet to be determined.

However, with the general volatility of the Middle East, I have serious doubts that this new Cold War will remain cold.
