I am glad to see the public response was large and immediate. It looks like they feel as I do: this sort of institutionalized bigotry cannot be tolerated.
Given how quickly the national government turns over there, I find myself wondering if this will be enough for the local government to be forced out.
If not, I certainly expect that at least the homophobe himself will be forced out. His political career is over. |
