"Romans tells us that all of creation points to God." Bb
| OK
But "Romans" is a book, authored, published, & distributed by humans, for humans. Any divinity it may have is purely speculative.
It's remotely possible, though highly unlikely (Ockham's razor) god created man.
But there simply is no disputing that man created religion, and all religious texts.
So is religion right? Or is religion wrong?
It's not that simple.
First of all, there are more than one religion. And they are distinct from one another because they differ.
So to the degree they differ, only at most one could be correct. Quote:
"There are 600 distinct religious expressions in the city of Los Angeles alone."
L.A. Times Religion writer Larry Stammer on PBS NewsHour Dec ‘01
| Therefore, even if you pick just one out of 600, your chance of guessing correctly is ~0.0016%
In the context of Pascal's Wager, I suspect those are pretty slim odds. Quote: |
