I actually have a subscription to the Focus on the Family monthly magazine.

I give it a quick flip through when it comes to the house. I think it's good to knwo what the other side is up to, you know? Many times, it makes me laugh out loud.

Most of the time, it's about watching out for this or that peril that could cause a happy couple to get divorced. Recently, the focus was on the evils of pornography. But they make sure to have something about the evil gay people in there every month, lest their subscribers forget to hate us for a month.

It's amazing how fragile they think marriage is, and how they encourage married people to trust each other as little as possible.

For example, if your spouse isn't willing to show you his date book, cell phone records, emails, etc., the moment you ask, you should consider it evidence that he is cheating on you. Who even asks to see that stuff? People who don't trust each other, that's who.

I tell you, from my time with their literature, it's clear that they think the institution of marriage is in even more trouble than the public does.

Oh, and then when I am done marveling at it, I do toss the magazine out.
Or, in the winter, use it to start my fireplace.
