I really don't like the idea of a world with prisons and official penalties (or any government over a population for that matter), but living in the United States at this point in time- I say go for it, blow the sucker out. Hell, I'd just ask for capital punishment if I knew I was guilty; better than rotting in jail forever. It's not my tax money!
But that's just my little superficial philosophy.  | If we do not have penalties or prisons,what do we do with the criminals?Slap them on the wrist,say bad boy(or girl)and send them back to do their crime again?Crime and punishment is not just the title of a book.It is a fact in society today and we need them topunish(oops i mean rehabilitate)criminals.If you have a better idea,I would like to hear it. | As an anarchist, I believe in retribution in the form of personal revenge, or no retribution at all (preferable none at all- that tends to start feuds). This is just my ideal, I know very well that this is extremely unrealistic when it comes to crime in the present.
So what do "we" do about it? We stay well-protected and we don't give anyone a reason to hurt us. Sounds ridiculous to some people; makes perfect sense to primitivists. |
