I actually feel a certain pity for Vick. What he got himself involved in was unconsionable. I mean, If you want to bet on something, there are plenty of legal casinos around. Since I love pro football, I have to say that I am glad he wasn't involved in a scandal involving betting on the Atlanta Falcons and the NFL.
One the other hand, he must face the consequences of his actions. I think he will do some jail time; but I don't think it will be more than two years. He will be fined substantially. I think Vick has decided to face this music now, so that he may ressurect his NFL career as soon as possible. Jail or not, he still is a very talented quarterback. (Please don't think that I am trying to excuse his behavior- I'm not) Afterwards if Atlanta does not wish to have him play for them; I am positive some other team will. |
