There are products you can apply to your car to repel cats. You can get a cheap car cover, too, for probably less than the gun. While I haven't had cat problems, we have had raccoons go after our koi. Not once did I think of killing them. I just wanted them to leave. So I spent a few nights cussing at them while squirting them with the highest pressure I could get out of my garden hose. They broke a few things in my yard and bagged four of our goldfish, incuding one of my favorites. We put wire fence "lids" on the ponds and used repellant. Problem solved. Now that we have the dog, he protects the yard and he has chased them off. They don't try for the fish anymore.
While we each solved our problems, the BB would have to be the last resort for me. The BB would be a little higher up on the list of problem solvers for my hubby, though. |
