I happen to think homosexuality is a handicap. I've cleary stated as much on these boards before. But why in the dickens would I want to "stand in the way" of equal rights for handicapped people?
I think she was "standing in the way" of homosexuaility as a condition never, ever being questioned by anybody ever again. Which is what SOME of the gay rights movement wants, IMO. It goes past wanting to be treated fairly.. .it's about wanting to be above criticism, questioning and beyond reproach. If at first you don’t succeed – try, try again and then quit.
