Here's a couple I heard about.

Young guy up drinking in an area around San Francisco with a couple friends. Area is well posted as do not trespass, cliff, etc. Drunk idiot decides to go pee in the bushes and falls down the cliff. Sues the city for not having the area fenced.

Guy driving through the city of Downey, CA. As he is driving through an intersection, an unlicensed and uninsured driver runs the red light, plowing into him. He sues the city of Downey for allowing an uninsured driver to drive through their city.

Oh, and the classic of all times, drunk driver KILLS a young woman, then sues her parents for his pain and suffering WHILE HE IS IN PRISON FOR KILLING THEIR DAUGHTER.
