Okay, my buddy left earlier; but he did show me the denial letter from the insurance company. It turns out that this accident does fall in the category of property damage liability.They have no problem with that. What they are refuting is the amount attached to the damage of the tree-$60,000. I would be a little hard pressed myself to believe the "appeal value" of this tree being that amont. Anyway, his mother has already gotten real estate comps for that are and has retained a lawyer. This is the frivolity of lawsuits that I'm talking about.
