This is a non-issue. | Yup, and they accepted the apology on the same day he issued it. Quote: New York, September 4, 2007 -- Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) President Neil G. Giuliano today accepted Jerry Lewis’ apology for his on-air use of an anti-gay slur during the telecast of The Muscular Dystrophy Association's (MDA) 42nd Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon.
“GLAAD thanks Jerry Lewis for his swift and direct apology for this incident,” stated Giuliano. “We join millions of Americans in applauding the important work of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and wish MDA and Mr. Lewis much continued success in their efforts.”

I think GLAAD declaring that Lewis's slip-of-the-tongue, "feeds a climate of hatred and intolerance that contributes to putting our community in harm's way", was a tad extreme; likewise, calling this remark an "attack" on a charity fund-raiser is also a bit ridiculous.
I'm only glad that this didn't become another Imus situation.
You're right, it's a non-issue and it's already been settled. Everything I say is a lie, and that is the truth.
