You're welcome, Akuma.

I started the platelet donations in May of 2005, with the goal of earning a 10-gallon cowboy hat the next year. At that time, I was at 6 gallons and 6 pints. Each platelet donation is worth two pints per visit. In no time, I made it to 10 gallons, which occurred a year ago last month.

It helps others as well. And if anybody is not a member of the Bone Marrow Registry, please sign up. You never know if someone is in need of it and you could be a big life-saver to recipients.

A platelet donation takes one to two hours. If the local blood bank has facilities where you can watch movies while you are donating, go for it.
