To my mind, if the N-C parent objects to treatment being discontinued, then they should have to take custody of the child. He/She shouldn't be allowed to demand that the other parent deal with the suffering of an extended death and then walk away from it.

The worst part of all this is the fact that children have to suffer because of the failures of their parents.
