Infact the schools around here are on holiday - I don't suppose the kids care why so long as they don't have to go to school.

Perhaps you should strive to be a lot less hypersensitive and a bit more tolerant toward your fellow travellers?

Go back and reread my posts. We're talking about what goes on in the public schools. I do not assume that anyone feels bad when their friends celebrate something. I am talking about public schools promoting religion and you're talking about travelling. I am praising schools for providing a balanced, religion-neutral environment around holidays and you're complaining that I am hypersensitive.
