Let's make a distinction between what goes on in the public schools and what goes on at work.

You might be totally comfortable hanging out with your Christian coworkers and attending the company Christmas party, but that doesn't mean that captive schoolchildren should be taught religious doctrine.
I don't think, for example, doing a Nativity Play, decorating a tree or singing "The First Noel" is going to kill any kids.

I would have no problem with my children partaking in such activities. They are undecided about their religion. But I am Baha'i and their mother is Wiccan.

What's wrong with a little immersion in/exposure to other cultures? After all, the line between "religion" and "culture" is fairly blurry. Hell, for Native American Indians, you CAN'T really seperate the two.

What's the big freakin' deal over kids being exposed to a little Christian culture.. especially when they live in a predominently Christian society?

Somehow, I think the people who get all uptight about this wouldn't blink if they moved to a Buddhist society and their children were "forced" to partake in Buddhist cultural/religious observations.

Seriously...what's the difference?

I WANT my children exposed to other veiws/cultures/religions.
