Do you think it is the job of the elementary schools to provide that education about other people's religions? Which religions should the public schools teach about?

All the major ones that are represented by the children at the school - Christianity, Judaism, Islam.

If they ever find a Kwanzaa kid maybe they should discuss that too) if anyone can ever figure out what it is!)

My children went to a Church of England primary school in London, which also had children of many other faiths. There was no compunction about discussing, say, Judaism at Hannakah, and what it all meant.

In striving to be more "free" and "equal" America sometimes end up being ultra-prudish and more constrictive.
