For instance, I have several friends who are Jehovah's Witnesses. When they were growing up their mother asked the teachers to allow them to go to the library during holiday parties in the classroom and to the office or library during holiday assemblies. (There are always some staff in the office even if the rest of the school is in assembly.)
She was always accommodated. I would consider that respectful.
On the other hand when I, at age 16, decided to stop attending the mandatory Christian assembly that we had every Wednesday morning, I was threatened with expulsion. (It was a public school.)
That was not respectful. America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. Want to help to stop this? Check out the Pickens Plan website at www.pickensplan.com. If you like what you see, please join me as a Pickens Plan supporter.
