It's just part of the culture. I'm a non-Christian, it doesn't bother me one wit. I see it as no different than most people celebrating Ramadan if I were in a predominantly Muslim nation, or most people celebrating Passover if I lived in Israel.
There comes a time when you get so hung up on the letter of the law, IMO, you end up pissing in the punch bowl. | What makes America different from a muslim nation or Israel is that they are HOMOGENOUS nations, we are not.
