Probably for the same reason a major part of America whom decended from immigrants are: to seek a better life for themselves and their families.



While never a requirement, we didn't make concessions, such as requiring government documents to be printed in Spanish, or have Spanish speaking workers. The people either learned the language or they didn't get by.
Are you saying that Spanish must be disallowed by law? Again, it's demographics.



I'm all for hitting these corporations hard for hiring illegals.

As for shipping manufacturing plants to Mexico, I can name 2 right off the top of my head, Electrolux and Tower Automotive, based here in Michigan. It was the corporate officers who made that decision, and I'm all for the government taxing these jokers big when they do it.
But were these "jokers" Mexicans whom made that decision? Do these companies not have American stockholders who in effect, endorse such behavior by owning such stock and not raising and voting against such behavior at shareholder meetings? How should we punish them?
