If I understand this part correctly, gay couples already have a legal, civil ceremony which gives all the same rights as marriage. So what they are trying to do is change the age old definition of 'marriage'. What does this do except to antagonise.

At the same time this 'pro-family' group are sticking their noses into a legal arrangement and domestic situation which is, to be frank, none of their business. All this does is promote intolerance and hatred.

Why the hell don't both sides just back off. Life's too short.
