For if you did may people would be able to see that the bill is in reference to non-Americans. You say how very American, the thing that bothers me the most in this issue is the fact that there are some out there who want to protect the very rights of the people who are trying to destroy us. Only a fool gives a man who hates him a weapon, an idiot gives him the bullets as well.
People wish to give non-citizens the rights of citizens, how noble, however, how dangerous. Like it or not there are people in this world who wish to see this country destroyed. Most of them are college educated and from middle class families who are frustrated with their own governments and choose to lash out against what they consider the great Satan, the United States. Why???? For the very reason liberals always claim the upper ground, progress. Except these individuals are against progress. They want a return to the 4th Century, where religions dominates the nation, women are property, and the man is the center of the universe.
dmk Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles -Russell Kirk- |
