It's not a right because it isn't free either - everyone will contribute something under a single-payer system. So the people who provide the service will be paid.

Also, true market conditions don't apply to health care because the element of choice isn't there. Nobody chooses to become ill or have an accident.

I agree that there will always be people who manipulate the system, unfortunately that's inevitable. But at least it won't be the insurance companies doing the manipulation!
