The bottom line is that a law banning baggy shorts will target far more black people than any other ethnic group. | Is it just the baggy shorts, or baggy full length pants being considered? Do you see? The inability of America to look at a problem in its whole is what our real problem is. Yes, Blacks wear the baggy shorts or full length pants. But like guns, we have opened up to another problem of the sort that is saying that because Blacks wear baggy clothes; the wearer is probably a criminal; and rather than follow the laws which say that one cannot be guilty of a crime that hasn't yet been comitted; we need to enact a law that will allow us to accuse, arrest, indict, and try somebody simply for the clothes that one wears. This is the sort of garbage that gives clowns like Al Sharpton a stage upon which to espose their rantings. In such a case as this; as much as I don't like him, he would be correct. |
