And what is this about fluent english. We dont need you speaking FLUENT english if you come over to this country legaly. You just need to be able to speak english in an understandable manner.
Ex.
If some person comes up to you and Asks "I are looking for First Nation Bank" Duh you would be able to recognize that they are looking for the First National Bank.
But if they come up to you and ask "Hola, dónde está El Primer Banco Nacional" and cant speak a flip of english, how the heck are they suppose to survive in America?

please you mean Latinos (we don't call them Hispanic anymore its actually a racist term first coined by the Spanish when much of the country spoke Spanish..it means a half breed..half Native Mexican and Half Spanish)..
I have no issue with them learning English upon their arrival here. I don't expect people from the third world to have the advantages I have. WHy on earth do you expect they would??? Unlike you I think people are more important then the language they speak. I think they should learn English its to their advantage but I don't blame them for not being able to speak fluently either and am happy to have them learn English to a higher standard upon arrival. Very few people don't know how to say hello and so forth in English so they all come knowing some English just not fluently.
How many Spanish speaking people do you actually personally know?? Because if you knew any Latinos you'd know they want to fit in, they want to learn English but its sort of hard to do when the govt is hunting you down or hutning somone in your family. This maybe their fault but still its an understandable situation also.
I don't have an issue understanding any Latinos when they speak English even with an accent, you seem to want them not to have an accent or maybe a slight one just a little because you want it understandable. To which I say lets get people in the back waters of West Virginia to be understandable..I sure as hell have trouble understanding them with that thick southern drawl and further anyone that thinks that 'ain't' is a real word lets boot them out too.
As for creeping the back door what would you do if your family was starving and had you no prospects for the future?? Don't be dull and say make my country better because why didn't you forefathers stay in their country and make it better?? They came for opportunity and thats damm ass American to me. Also making your country better is a long term answer to a short term problem. For heavens sake Mexico only had actual democratic elections for the first time in the year 2000..the rest of Central America is either recently war torn or run by meglomanic tyrants...so that simplitic answer is a meaningless piece of rhetoric. Perhaps arming yourself with real facts about Central America would be an advantage.
