Just wanted to announce Tony's (Tadpole's) recent promotion to Chief petty officer! He has been busy with his Chief's initiation and ask I give everyone his regards. He'll be back in here soon but I thought I'd let you all in on his promotion.
As most of you know, Tad did a tour in Afaghanistan, a sailor attached to an army unit, on the ground. Army Sailor -- War in the Sandbox...
I also have to mention that Tad is being redeployed, soon, this time to Iraq. I believe he'll have water under him, this time rather than being on the ground.
I thank him for his service to our country and his dedication to helping keep our country safe. I am honored to call him a true friend and a hero among us.
