Big congrats!! Making Chief in the Navy is a very big deal. I wish I was still an officer as I would love to represent him during his initiation.

For those of you who don't know, the Navy tradition calls for the new chief to select an officer to "represent" him during the chief's initiation. During the initiation, "charges" are brought against the new chief and he is forced to do a number of silly things as his "punishment." The officer is present to represent him, but of course, the officer gets alot of shit too.
