First of all, I heard that this boy was only 17 years old with no priors. What is true and what's not? If this was the case, there should not have been any thought of trying him as an adult. Why, because he's Black?
As far as the racial issues concerned; whenever there is any such violence between Black and White, I can guarantee it is going to be blown out of proportion. As far as what the DA believes, well; that really doesn't mean anything without proof. And proof in racially charged incidents won't be like proof in other situations- it is a state of mind, which can be highly disptable in anyone's case. For instance, is it right that this incident even occurred? Of course not. Were the Blacks wrong for their actions? Yes. But, going into a Black area with a Confederate flag and nooses hanging as decoration in a car window does not instigate a reaction? Sadly, people; things like this are still happening in the South in some places. What happened? Did the calendar get turned back to the mid to late 1800's?
