Besides that, if people are procuring documentation ahead of time much like we obtain Social Security cards, what is to prevent illegal residents from procuring false documentation in the same manner that they secure the false cards? I think the post-employment verification is the only practical way of handling this. | Well, CF; we will disagree. Nothing personal, but I think the bottleneck can be cleared beforehand. The requirement to have applied for verification beforehand should rest upon the public so that we might clear the "bottleneck". I would agree with you that it could possibly create a bigger one; but could we just require proof of the application when a person applies for a job, to let the employer get needed help in without punishing the employer; and then just requring the employer to furnish this info to the government in a prescribed amount of timeto prove that they are within the law in hiring practice?
I'm just trying to think of both sides of the problem, sir. I am not attacking you personally. I definitely understand the need for employers to sometimes need to fill positions quickly. But I am positive that this is one point that leads to the hiring of illegals. Obviously, corporate monetary greed can be another. |
