You can just consider "the draft" a scare tactic used by the left to help Kerry in the elections. I remember reading in everyones AIM profiles, "if you elect Bush, you are going over to Iraq."

Can't believe so many people fell for that. I actually had a debate with one of my friends at work about the draft and I mentioned, "A democrat in office introduced this bill (the draft)".

In response my friend said, "He did this to warn people that under the Bush Administration, most likely their will be a draft".
