Yes Science Fiction, which is just that fiction.........

How nice it would be to live in a world where everyone worked for the betterment of each other. From each according to his ability to each according to their needs.......NOT.

Merit has it place and it need. Without merit there would be no success stories. Without merit there would be no space exploration. Without merit this country would not have enough food to eat.

People complain about the lack of water, yet at the same time they compalin about the prospect of having to pay more to have it. You can't have it both ways. You want a company to supply a state with water through desalination, then the people of the state should be prepared to pay for it. If they don't they will still end up paying for it if the government decides to do it, only this time it will come not in a monthly bill, but through an increase in their taxes. Either way the people still end up paying for it.

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles
