Typical Republican thinking. | Not typical republican thinking but just plain common sense. As long as Washington continues to control the money, instead of the state, Corporations will show up hat in hand, their pleas will be for the common good, cleaner burner energy, reduce the greenhouse gases, eneergy independence and the list goes on.
Spending money does not show you care, hell for how many years did the WElfare system trap people into being dependent upon government for their existence?????? I have no problem giving someone a hand up when they need it, but how can you actually believe that by trapping someone into a dead end cycle of slums and poverty shows them you care???? No caring about them is showing them how to enter the work force and to make it on their own, where their only limited by what they can achieve, rather than what the government can pay you.
Keep trying to believe that Welfare is caring, all you end up with is a new form of slavery, where instead of workign the fields, you live in slums and remain in poverty.
dmk Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles -Russell Kirk- |
