Spending money does not show you care, hell for how many years did the WElfare system trap people into being dependent upon government for their existence?????? I have no problem giving someone a hand up when they need it, but how can you actually believe that by trapping someone into a dead end cycle of slums and poverty shows them you care???? No caring about them is showing them how to enter the work force and to make it on their own, where their only limited by what they can achieve, rather than what the government can pay you.

Keep trying to believe that Welfare is caring, all you end up with is a new form of slavery, where instead of workign the fields, you live in slums and remain in poverty.

I agree strongly with you, Sarge. I can deal with giving the helping hand up to those in need; but when people start abusing the idea of the helping hand up and take it to be some form of lifetime handout; I have a problem.
