Perhaps, I would concede that new metaphors may help us communicate ideas with more lucidity, but nothing new is revealed here. | If you were to read the book mentioned "Metaphors we live by" I suspect you would change your mind. I have learned a great deal about human knowing and understanding as a result of studying this book and also "Philosophy in the Flesh", both books are authored by Lakoff and Johnson. |
