Ok i watched the show and tbf it's pretty convincing, it's not just the mayans who have predicted this date but 1 ching, the oldest book ever, where all 64 configurations of a pattern spread over a timeline end on the 21st of the 12th 2012,,
also 2012 the year itself added together is 32... 3 divided by 2 is .666, thus leading to interpretations from the book of revelations about the rebuilding of israel leading to the end of the world... Since Israel became a nation again in 1948 they're hasnt been a single second pass without a war. And considering the constant trouble in the middle east you'd be a fool to ignore these facts.....but at the same time the mayan calendar reflects when the sun is in the centre of the milky way.Coincidentally on 21/12/2012. In recent years nasa has confirmed the presence of a black hole in our galaxy, could the lining up of the sun in the centre of gravity lead to the end of the world,,, in all who knows.
When messages fly in the blink of an eye,
when ships sail like fish under the sea
when men out soar the birds with no wings
the sea shall rise and blood sweep the lands,
i believe our biggest threats global warming simple as and that surely aint gonna happen on 21/12/2012

what confuses me tho if the world does end on 21/12/2012 whose timeline are we going on remember to us Uk folk the aussies bring in a new day long before us so on the 21/12/2012
it's gonna be the 22/12/2012 so in short mayan society could well be well wrong.or scarily right.
