Too many of them are just a little too eager to shoot someone for my liking.

The citizenry protecting itself is one thing, but how does shooting a teenager who is running away extrapolate into 'protecting yourself'. Where was the threat?

At what point does 'street justice' become anarchy?
That's what seems to have happened with this guy Horn. From the 911 tape it sounds like he couldn't wait to shoot at someone. Probably he'd been dreaming about that moment for years.

Even though the police dispatcher was pleading with him to stay indoors and not shoot at anyone saying "it's not worth killing someone for property".

It's ironic that America is stomping around the world preaching peace, democracy and the rule of law whilst this kind of summary execution on American soil seems to get applause all round.

Nobody wants to have their house burgled but shooting and killing unarmed people is not the right solution.

I hope this guy is charged and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and we'll see what happens if he gets a Rodney King cop-style free pass.
