The purpose of that post was to show that Al Sharpton comes out in "support" of anything that will get him in front of a camera. And MANY times, he comes out in support of the "wrong" side. And he NEVER apologizes for his errors. If he had given those Duke Lacrosse players the same respect that he DEMANDED from Imus, he would have won more respect and admiration for his cause than anything he has done this decade. His silence on that is deafening. And it is extremely similar to the Brawley case in that he didn't apologize for that egregious error either.

A unanimous jury found Sharpton liable for defamation, but it took Pagones over two years to collect Sharpton's judgment. Apparently, Sharpton transferred his assets to his wife's name, paying Pagones only when Sharpton's friends ponied up the money. To this day, Sharpton refuses to apologize.
