I don't really know what you are getting at.

Whether you and I like it or not things like prostitution and drug use are happening and are going to continue to happen in the future. Because it is currently illegal these groups of people operate on an underground economy, or black market if you will. If drugs and prostitution were legalized not only would those billions of dollars flow back into mainstream economy but society would be safer as prostitutes could work in better, safer conditions, form unions, be tested regularly for diseases, have better access to counselors, etc. And the power of the street thug drug dealer would be completely eliminated (crime drop).

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.
